To enable better diabetics management across hospitals and clinics around the world
San Francisco, California (Unites States)—October 23, 2018— Ambrosia Systems, a fast-growing medical technology company, today announced the launch of its APIs that allow healthcare providers access Abbott’s Freestyle and FreeStyle Libre Pro sensor data of diabetic patients in almost real-time, across hospitals and clinics around the world.
The APIs are relevant to all those consumers who are using Ambrosia’s LinkBluCon mobile app and NightRider Bluetooth sensor transmitter to monitor glucose levels on the go. The APIs work across phone manufacturers — Android and iOS platforms.
Ambrosia’s APIs help in better diabetics management as they integrate glucose readings of patients using Libre sensors along with other patient-related information like exercise regime, food and insulin intake and so on. The APIs also integrate patient history and records across hospitals and clinics wherever the patient has availed treatment. As a result, healthcare providers get a holistic view of the patient’s condition with almost real-time glucose readings.
“Until now, Abbott’s Libre sensor data was not accessible to healthcare providers around the world. Our APIs now make it possible for healthcare providers to access glucose readings of diabetics in almost real time,” said Piyush Gupta, CEO, Ambrosia Systems.
